Singapore is a sovereign island city-state within Southeast Asia. Along with Bangkok, Singapore is the travel hub within Southeast Asia, you easily get flights to both destinations and continue to travel into any direction. The country itself is quite small, at the time when I went to Singapore, the Changi Airport even offered bus sightseeing tours around the main spots if you have a layover of multiple hours during daytime. You will find people from all across the world living, working or traveling around in Singapore.
