After I decided to start my Sabbatical in Latin America with a language course in Guatemala, I had to consider how to get there. For the time when I wanted to cross over the Atlantic Ocean, the only affordable options were flying to Mexico and from there to Guatemala. So my first night will not be spent in Guatemala, but instead in Cancún. Since there are not many international flight connections from Guatemala but plenty from Mexico, I booked myself a return ticket to Cancún.
I have nothing planned yet, not sure whether I will spend more time in Mexico or not. Whatever my experience in Mexico will be, I will share in posts here. As I am quite interested into any indigenous studies, traditions and cultures, I will most likely check out some Maya-temples.
