Sri Lanka is an island nation south of India. The political and economic situation has not been the easiest one for years, conflicts, corruption, inflation and more strike the country occasionally. When I visited Sri Lanka, I stayed with a friend from Australia who is native Sri Lankan. During that time, Sri Lanka was recovering from flooding in the northern part. If there are no natural disasters and no economic difficulties, Sri Lanka is a very interesting country to travel.
