South Korea might not be on the first spot of a travel bucket list. The country is rather known for the Samsung Group or other technologies than for fascinating spots to travel. Though, these spots definitely exist. The only challenge is the language. South Koreans might have learned the English language, though, only very few use it. Asking for the direction or which exit to use at the bus station might leave you without any response, even if a Korean translation app is used. If you decide to travel to South Korea, you better try to be prepared and bring a travel guide (book). When I traveled to South Korea, Tourist Information Stations offered mainly Korean guides, sometimes English ones which were not very helpful.
