Taiwan has been the first country I have traveled to outside of Europe. I visited Taiwan through a student exchange program of my high school in 2009. Back then, western-looking people were really rare and an attraction to Taiwanese people. Without speaking the same language, we have been approached by so many Taiwanese people, pointing to their cameras, hugging us or even passing their kids to us to take photos. Who knows in how many photo memories me and the other people from my student exchange group are kept now.
This trip is long enough in the past to not write blog articles immediately. I do not have many digital photos of that trip, so I need some more time and effort to get something prepared for you. This will most likely happen after I am back from my one-year trip during my sabbatical leave.
